Rohit Sharma shuts down Inzamam-ul-Haq on ball-tampering accusation
Indian captain Rohit Sharma addressed these allegations during a pre-match press conference on Wednesday, ahead of India's semi-final clash against England.
Responding to the accusations, Rohit Sharma said, "Abhi kya jawab du iska main? Abhi itne dhup main aap khel rahe ho, wicket itna dry hai, ball reverse apne aap ho jayega. Sab team ka ho raha hai, humara kyun. Sab team reverse swing kar rahe hai. Sometimes dimaag ko thoda kholna zaroori hai, samajhna zaroori hai ki kaunsi condition main khel rahe hai. England ya Australia main nahi match ho raha yeh."
("What answer will I give? If you are playing under the sun and the wickets are this dry, the ball will reverse on its own. The ball is reversing for all teams. Not just for us. Sometimes, it's important to open your mind [use your brain]. You have to understand where we are playing. We are not playing in England or Australia.")
