'Life comes full circle': Ganguly's GIANT applause for Rohit as IND reach WC final, takes dig at MI

Rohit Sharma must be relishing the semifinal win, as his leadership has led Team India to multiple finals in the past year. It will be the third final that the team will head into under the leadership of Rohit. It has been a thrill of a ride for the Men in Blue, and a lot of hope remains over the team bringing the silverware back into the fold. It will be a task for them as they will battle another undefeated side in the T20 World Cup Final. As the final comes up, Sourav Ganguly took the moment to applaud Rohit Sharma and his captaincy traits which have led the Indian Cricket Team to new heights.

Sourav Ganguly believes life has come full circle for Rohit Sharma as India head into the T20 WC Final

During an interaction with PTI, former BCCI President Sourav Ganguly is delighted for skipper Rohit Sharma, saying that this is a full circle moment for him as he was snubbed as the MI skipper a while back. Still, he is now leading the national side into a final.  

"I'm very happy for Rohit Sharma. Life comes full circle. Six months ago, he was not even the captain of Mumbai Indians, and the same man is now leading India to a World Cup final, unbeaten," 

"He has played two World Cup finals where he has gone into the final unbeaten. That speaks of his captaincy and leadership quality, and I'm not surprised because he became captain when I was the BCCI president and when Virat didn't want to captain India anymore. It took a lot of time to make him captain because he was not ready to captain. It took a lot of pushing from all of us to make him captain and I'm very happy to see the progress of Indian cricket under him," Ganguly said to PTI.

After two consecutive defeats, Team India looks significantly better this year as there is a lot on the line. The men in Blue will vie for the title and give it their all to give a fitting send-off to Rahul Dravid, as he will step down from the coaching position after the ICC Men's T20 World Cup. A lot is on the line, and it is yet to be seen what happens at the Kensington Oval.
