It is now anticipated that Team India would land in New Delhi on Thursday at roughly 1:30 AM IST, or 4:00 PM local time in Barbados. Following Hurricane Beryl's intensification into a Category 5 hurricane and the closing of Barbados' airports and enterprises, the travel itinerary has been amended. Due to the extreme weather, the team's original departure time of 11 AM local time (Barbados) on Monday was delayed by two days. As a result, the team's safe return is of utmost importance.
Virat Kohli shows Hurricane troubles to Anushka Sharma from Barbados
Senior Indian batter Virat Kohli reportedly showed his wife, actress Anushka Sharma, the ravages of Hurricane Beryl in Barbados via video call on social media.
Currently stranded in Barbados due to the hurricane, the Indian team, triumphant in the 2024 T20 World Cup after defeating South Africa on June 29.
Kohli is seen in the footage that is making the rounds carrying a cell phone clearly on a video conversation. Although it is unknown to whom he is speaking, a Kohli fan club claims he was showing his wife the effects of the storm.
Virat Kohli declared his retirement from Twenty20 Internationals after Team India's triumph in the 2024 T20 World Cup final. Throughout his illustrious career, the 35-year-old scored 4,188 runs in 117 innings, with an average of 48.69 and a strike rate of 137.04. His outstanding record includes a century and 38 fifties.
