Strengths
A Balanced squad in place: Before the World Cup, New Zealand's batting lineup appears solid, with players like Rachin Ravindra, Kane Williamson, Daryl Mitchell, and Glenn Phillips in the middle order and Finn Allen and Devon Conway slated to begin the batting for the Blackcaps.
Versatile bowling arsenal: With the new ball, Trent Boult can cause a lot of damage. In the middle overs, Tim Southee, armed with two spinners in Mitchell Santner and Ish Sodhi, may cause major damage. With the knowledge that the pitches can go a little slower and lower towards the conclusion of the competition, they appear to be a team ready for any situation.
Weaknesses
Lack of death over bowlers: Boult and Southee risk giving up many runs in the final overs because they are not as good in them. Teams will know that Jimmy Neesham, Mitchell, and Glenn Phillips are only a serious threat to take wickets once the surface presents something for the slower bowlers to work with, even though they can roll their arms over if necessary.

Opportunities
The ultimate chance to win an ICC title: Although they haven't won a T20 World Cup, New Zealand doesn't want to see the competition as a wasted chance. The Black Caps would like their chances of making it to the Super Eight stage without any problems. As they usually do, the Kiwis are anticipated to make it to the semi-finals without causing too much of a stir in ICC competitions where they have consistently performed above their weight.
Threats
Kiwi's historic struggles in ICC tournaments: New Zealand have been a poignant force, and it has been known that they pose a legitimate threat to the other teams. However, they tend to choke out on critical occasions and need to be careful in that aspect.
