T20 World Cup 2024 Points Table: Updated standings after Australia beat Namibia, PAK beat Canada

The group stages of T20 World Cup 2024 are nearing the business end as Australia have become the first team to seal a Super 8 spot. 

Australia hammered Namibia to win by nine wickets in their Group B fixtures and qualified for Super 8 with three wins in their first three games. The match between Sri Lanka and Nepal in Florida resulted in a washout without a ball being bowled and both teams are now staring at exit. 

Elsewhere in Group A, Pakistan have kept their hopes for a Super 8 spot alive with a win against Canada.

T20 World Cup 2024 Points Table

Group A 

In Group A, India and USA will face off each other in the top two clash at Nassau County International Cricket Stadium in New York. The winner will advance to Super 8. Pakistan with their victory against Canada have kept their hopes for Super 8 qualification still alive. 

Group B

Australia with another emphatic victory this time over Namibia have confirmed their spot in the Super 8 of the tournament. Scotland currently sit in second spot whereas England are in a pickle to qualify for T20 World Cup.

Group C 

Afghanistan and West Indies are currently the favourites to seal qualification from the group stages of the tournament into the second round. New Zealand need a drastic turnaround in results and fortunes to make it past the group phases. 

Group D

South Africa are on the brink of qualification with three wins out of their first three games while Bangladesh and Netherlands are still in the hunt. Sri Lanka are on the brink of exit.
