Team India is all set to lock horns against one of their biggest nemesis, Australia. After they broke millions of hearts at the ODI World Cup, The Men in Blue will look for a big win against them at the Daren Sammy Cricket Stadium in Saint Lucia. One win will do wonders for the team as it could seal their spot for the semifinal. On the other hand, Australia are reeling in from a loss to Afghanistan, and they need a win to keep themselves on the title page. The Rohit Sharma-led Men in Blue will look to derail them from the contention. The Indian Cricket Team possess a massive advantage if they beat Australia and move onto the Semifinal, which is expected to take place in Guyana.

Does Team India have the direct advantage to reach the final in the T20 World Cup 2024 semifinal

The Super 8 match at the Daren Sammy Cricket Ground in Saint Lucia is already facing a rain threat, and it will act as an advantage for the Rohit Sharma-led side as the Australians could be knocked out if the game is washed away and Afghanistan stun Bangladesh. But Team India, have an added advantage for the semifinal match as a heavy downpour is expected in the Guyana region. The Providence Stadium will be hosting the second Semifinal match, and India seems to be the clear favourite to seal a berth. From Group B, England is expected to be pitted as they have already qualified for the semis.

Team India is leading in terms of the NRR with +2.425, and it is before the IND vs AUS clash. It is way better than the other eight teams, who are standing below two points. If there is a washout at the Providence Stadium in Guyana, team India will be handed the berth to play the final at the Kensington Oval in Barbados.

The highest 88% chance of precipitation is expected to take place in Georgetown, Guyana. A cloud cover of 57% is also predicted in the daytime as well and since it will be a day match, expect an intense downpour at the Providence Stadium, with the possibility of the match-up being a washout.
