The Netherlands' showcase in the ODI World Cup has been nothing less than impressive. The Dutch team has gone toe-to-toe against some of the World's top teams, and despite the results, they haven't disappointed the cricket fans. The team has gone through intense struggles to reach such a platform, and they have made the crowd go 'wow' as they perform in the ongoing ODI World Cup in India.

Van der Merwe makes a phenomenal catch attempt, umpire rules it 'Not Out'
During the AUS vs NED match, Roelof Van der Merwe dove to his right at short extra cover as David Warner attempted to make a shot. It appears to snare up a pretty good opportunity. To determine whether the catch was clean or not, the officials went upstairs. The third umpire believes the catcher did not have the ball as his hands hit the playing surface.

As soon as van der Merwe claimed the catch, Warner pointed out that the ball had hit the ground.
After the jumbo tron revealed that Warner was ruled not out, the Netherlands team and the fans were left in disbelief as Van der Merwe's efforts went in vain. But the Dutch team proved themselves as a worthy competitor in the cricketing sector.

Van der Merwe's 2nd attempt hits the bull's eye
After the upset they dealt with, it did not take long enough for the Netherlands team to bounce back into form. They did not let the initial upset harm their momentum. When off-spin bowler Aryan Dutt bowled towards Smith, he knocked the ball in the direction of van der Merwe. He has his hands beneath the ball as he makes another effort at the reverse-cup and keeps his grip on it as well.
