With the spectacle taking place in the US and West Indies, it has attracted a lot of attention as the teams continue with their campaign. The Rohit Sharma-led Team India has entered some unknown territories this year as they are set to open their campaign. As they begin the competition, former cricket icon Yuvraj Singh determines his top choice for the player who will emerge as the leading run-scorer in the T20 competition.

Yuvraj Singh chooses India's top star as leading run-getter in ICC Men's T20 World Cup 2024
Former Indian Cricketer Yuvraj Singh, who is also the T20 World Cup's brand ambassador, recently picked his top favourite contenders for the T20 World Cup Final, saying that three teams, except Australia, will have a tough fight for the title. He also named his preferred run-getter in the tournament as he chose Virat Kohli to have a solid campaign, citing that his IPL 2024 season has been nothing less than spectacular.
"I'm hoping India, probably West Indies. Pakistan 3, and no Australians [laughs].
"I am looking forward to the return of Rishabh, he is coming back from a massive injury. And leading run-getter seems like Virat Kohli, he's had a very good IPL," Yuvraj said.
The Indian Cricket Team have an arduous task as they will aim to end their ICC title drought. The last time that they were the Champions was under MS Dhoni's reign, and India's Champions Trophy win in 2013 is the last title that the team won, and it has been over ten years since they have won the title.
After narrowly missing out on the ICC Men's ODI World Up 2024, the Indian Cricket Team will begin their redemption arc, as the Rohit-Sharma-led Team India will open their campaign against Ireland after winning the warm-ups with a wide margin against Bangladesh.
