WTC Points Table: Updated World Test Championship Standings after India consolidate top spot
India's convincing win over Bangladesh has boosted their points percentage (PCT) to 71.66, solidifying their position at the top of the WTC table.
India's dominant 280-run victory over Bangladesh in Chennai has strengthened their position at the top of the World Test Championship (WTC) points table. The win has given India a 1-0 lead in the two-match Test series and solidified their grip on the number one spot.
The first Test between India and Bangladesh ended in four days with the hosts dominating the procession for most of the time. Ravichandran Ashwin put on an impressive all-round performance to help his side register a commanding victory. He was named the Player of the Match for top-scoring in the first innings and taking a six-wicket haul in the final innings.
Meanwhile, Sri Lanka's thrilling win over New Zealand in Galle has propelled them to third place in the standings, leapfrogging their opponents in the process. The Lankans' impressive performance has thrown open the race for the two final spots in the competition, setting up an exciting finish to the WTC 2023-25 cycle.

India's convincing win over Bangladesh has boosted their points percentage (PCT) to 71.66, solidifying their position at the top of the World Test Championship table. With 86 points from 10 Tests, India has extended their lead over second-placed Australia to 9.16 percentage points.
Sri Lanka, meanwhile, has made significant strides, rising to a PCT of 50 with 48 points from eight Tests. Despite an equal number of wins and losses (four each) in the ongoing championship, Sri Lanka has managed to leapfrog into third place, trailing India and Australia.
New Zealand, on the other hand, has slipped to fourth place, with a PCT of 42.86. Having won three and lost four of their seven Tests in the current cycle, the Kiwis will be looking to regroup and revive their campaign.
