At the pre-match press conference, Team India skipper Rohit Sharma has fired off a grave warning as they gear up for the red-ball competition. The skipper revealed that he is determined to play for the country, and they are not treating the two-match red-ball series against BAN as a dress rehearsal. Rohit expressed optimism upon the team returning together again and is fired up for the test series at home.

“At the end of the day, you are playing for the country. No dress rehearsal kind of stuff, every game matters. Every game becomes important because of the WTC. Doesn't matter where we play in two months time.

"We have to focus on the present. It is nice to have everyone back and start the season on a high. When the match starts, you are going to see where you are and go from there,” Rohit Sharma said at the press conference in Chennai, Tamil Nadu.

India have reigned supreme over Bangladesh , but the visitors would not be taken lightly as they are coming off a whitewash win against Pakistan in a two-match Test series at Rawalpindi.
