The LG Twins looked nothing like a side on a seven-game losing streak as they defeated hosts SK Wyverns 3-0 at the Incheon SK Happy Dream Stadium on Saturday.
The action kicked off at the top of the third inning when Jung Ju-hyeon ghosted past the Wyverns defence to steal second base, which he then impressively converted into a run on Lee Chun-woong's single. Possibly buoyed by his colleague's success, Lee attempted to play copycat but was only caught in a game of cat-and-mouse - his own attempt to steal second base ended in a tag out.
Kim Ho-eun's single allowed Yoo Kang-nam to score at the top of the 6th inning, before Hong Chang-gi wrapped up the desperately-needed victory for the Twins on Lee Chun-woong's single at the top of the 9th inning.
Former Philadelphia Phillies man Ricardo Pinto was the losing pitcher despite four strikeouts in five-and-a-third innings, while the Twins' Jung Chan-heon took the winning accolades with six strikeouts and just three hits allowed in 115 pitches over all nine innings.
