Turkey win a thrilling contest vs debutants Georgia

The Group F opener between Turkey and Georgia ended up being the match of the tournament so far as despite Turkey's 3-1 win the game was far from one sided and comfortable.

Turkey started the game strongly as Mert Muldur put the team ahead in the 25th minute of the game through a fantastic volley effort. Georgia however quickly equalised as Georges Mikautadze scored the first ever goal for the country in European Championship in the 32nd minute of the game.

Georgia the lowest ranked team in the tournament put in a valiant performance as they missed a multitude of opportunities in the game and could've come away with atleast a draw in the encounter.

But a wonder strike from Arda Guler and Kerem Akturkoglu late goal meant that Turkey came away with all three points.
