Former Bundesliga champions Bayern Munich will be travelling to Benteler Arena to play their sixth match of the 2019-20 season. Niko Kovac's team are currently in the second position with 11 points in hand. Paderborn are on the bottom of the table with just one point (Lost 4, Draw 1). The match is scheduled for September 28, 2019.

Paderborn vs Bayern Munich: Preview

Paderborn are playing their second-ever Bundesliga season after getting promoted this season. Bayern have featured in every German top-flight season since 1965. Bayern have faced Paderborn four times and have managed to win all the games with a goal record of 21-1. Paderborn have scored in each of their five Bundesliga games this season (6 goals in total), but have only bagged one point this season.

Paderborn have lost both of their opening home games against Freiburg (1-3) and Schalke (1-5). Koln are the only Bundesliga team so far in the season without a home point so far. Bayern have only won two of their last six away games, (draw 3, loss 1). Bayern last lost to a bottom-table team in March 2008 against Energie Cottbus (2-0).

Robert Lewandowski has three more goals (9) than Paderborn (6) in this Bundesliga season. Bayern's Lewandowski has 211 Bundesliga goals to his name and is only two goals behind fourth-placed Manfred Burgsmuller (213) on the all-time goalscorer list. Paderborn’s coach Steffen Baumgart has faced Bayern 15 times as a player in the Bundesliga. Baumgart's side has not won in their last eight Bundesliga games. Manuel Neuer has conceded just four goals this season and all of them came in the first half, meantime Paderborn, have scored five of their six goals in the first half this season.
