Liverpool to offer youngsters Rhian Brewster, Harvey Elliott playing time
Jurgen Klopp’s Liverpool have been a force to reckon with in the 2019-20 season so far. Barring the one loss to Napoli in their opening UEFA Champions League tie, Liverpool have been in fine form. The German coach will most likely give some much required rest to the front three attacking trio of Mohammed Salah, Sadio Mane and Roberto Firmino in their Carabao Cup tie. Virgil van Dijk, Joel Matip and Adrian will also sit out Thursday night’s match at MK Stadium.
Klopp will predictably hand senior debuts to youngsters Harvey Elliott and Rhian Brewster. Liverpool-born attacker Curtis Jones and Dutch teenager Ki-Jana Hoever may also feature for the Merseyside team in the Carabao Cup on Wednesday night. This will be an excellent opportunity for periphery players such as Adam Lallana, Dejan Lovren and Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain to gain some game time for Liverpool. Neutral fans should expect another attacking threat from Liverpool as they take on Paul Tisdale’s MK Dons side.
