'Not Yet At Its Best': Carlo Ancelotti Gets Candid About Real Madrid's Slow La Liga Start
Real Madrid manager Carlo Ancelotti has given a candid response on his side's lack lustre performance in La Liga so far.
Real Madrid have endured a slow start to their La Liga campaign after drawing the first game against Mallorca and despite their 3-0 win over Real Valladolid in the second game, the performance was far from convincing.
As the defending champions get ready to face Las Palmas away in their third La Liga game of the season, manager Carlo Ancelotti in his pre-match press conference admitted that the team is not yet at its best.
Carlo Ancelotti gets candid about Real Madrid's slow start
Real Madrid beat Valladolid 3-0 over the weekend, however two of the teams goals came after the 86th minute. The team was labouring throughout the game and looked lacklustre in the attack.
The trio of Vinicius Jr, Kylian Mbappe and Rodrygo found it difficult to adapt to each other's games. Talking about the trio, Carlo Ancelotti admitted that the team still isn't in their best shape.
However, Ancelotti also pointed out that they've already scored 6 goals in three matches. He boasted that there problem this season won't be around scoring goals.
“Mbappé, Vinicius... Rodrygo…we have many resources. We have six goals and the team is not yet at its best. That says a lot. We'll never have goal problems, you can see,” answered Carlo Ancelotti in his press conference.

Carlo Ancelotti gives update on Alaba's return
Real Madrid's defender David Alaba has faced a lengthy absence from football by picking up an ACL injury last season. The injury feared to have aggravated over time as his return was delayed further.
Manager Carlo Ancelotti has finally given a positive update on David Alaba.
“Alaba? He is progressing. He started running on the pitch today, it's the first time. Everything is going well. We have to be patient with him,” revealed Carlo Ancelotti.
No return date has been assigned to David Alaba but Ancelotti's update certainly offers a positive light on Alaba's return.
