Lewandowski's dream form continues
Two goals from in-form striker Robert Lewandowski helped Bayern make it three consecutive wins in Group B but the Bundesliga side had to endure a nervous finish to the match. Bayern boss Niko Kovac finds himself under pressure once again, and now the captain himself has criticised his team’s performance. In particular, Neuer wasn’t pleased with his team’s passing. The Bavarians made too many passing errors in Piraeus, and that was their weak spot in Neuer’s opinion.

Bayern have taken one point from its past two Bundesliga matches but made it three wins from three in Europe. Striker Lewandowski showed typical predatory instincts as he took his tally for the season to 18 goals in club football. The 31-year-old Poland international netted with two close-range finishes and said his relaxed personality has been a key factor during a prolific spell. Bayern had defeated Tottenham in their previous champions league clash held at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium with a 2-7 scoreline.
Bayern Munich have also been heavily criticised for its current style of play. Neuer admits that there are issues in their performances. The Bavarians did not endure a good start to the season, according to their previous seasons’ performances. They are currently placed third in the Bundesliga table, having won four and lost once out of the total eight matches played so far, with 15 points. Borussia Monchengladbach lead the charts with 16 points.
