Erling Haaland hat-trick and more
Erling Haaland left his native Norway for Red Bull Salzburg early in 2019, having played for Molde under Manchester United boss Ole Gunnar Solskjaer since he was 16. He has since been scoring for fun ever for the Austrian side. The first of the Norwegian's triples this season came in the Austrian Cup with a 7-1 win away against ESV Parndorf in July. Wolfsberger were on the receiving end of an another Haaland show in August in a 5-2 win for Salzburg. On September 14th, TSV Hartberg were battered 7-2 by Salzburg with Haaland scoring three again. On Sunday, once again Wolfsberger were on the receiving end of another Haaland exhibition with the striker bagging all three goals as part of the 3-0 win away at the Lavanttal Arena.

Erling Haaland's goal-scoring feat is not just reserved for the Austrian Bundesliga or the domestic cup. He introduced himself on European stage when Belgian side Genk were on the receiving end of a 6-2 thrashing by Red Bull Salzburg on the opening day of the 2019-20 UEFA Champions League group stage with a Haaland triple as part of an emphatic Group E win.
Erling Haaland: Premier League links and interests
Erling Haaland is the son of former Leeds United and Manchester City midfielder Alf-Inge Haaland and has now scored 27 goals in 18 club appearances this season with goals against Liverpool and Napoli under his belt. In May, the teenage forward made headlines by scoring nine of Norway's goals in a 12-0 win over Honduras at the Under-20 World Cup.
It should come as no surprise that the teenager has been watched by several clubs after his goal-scoring exploits. Notably, Liverpool, Manchester United and Real Madrid have all been rumoured to have an interest in the Norwegian. However, it would be logical to wait out and see what kind of player Erling Haaland turns out as a long-term perspective.
