Tottenham Hotspur's Heung-min Son has travelled back to Britain after completing a three-week period of military service in his native South Korea.
The 27 year-old forward spent the time with a Marine Corps unit on the southern island of Jeju, according to local media.
Son fulfilled the requirements of a military service exemption he earned by winning the gold medal for South Korea in the football tournament at the 2018 Asian Games. Without that exemption, he would have been required by law to serve 21 months.
Son, who recently recovered from a broken arm sustained in a match in February, is not required to self-isolate back in London unless he tests positive for the coronavirus and will be free to take part in individual training when it resumes, potentially as early as Monday.
