Kylian Mbappe Details Real Madrid Role With Bellingham, Vinicius, and More - Who Will be Benched?

Kylian Mbappe has officially become a member of Los Blancos. Mbappe was unveiled as Real Madrid's number 9 on Tuesday, July 16, 2024, at the Santiago Bernabéu Stadium. This move comes after Kylian Mbappe left PSG for free after he decided not to renew his contract with the French club. He is anticipated to play a key role in Spain, as he is now playing for one of the best clubs in the world.

Kylian Mbappe made a huge statement about his position at Real Madrid 

After joining Real Madrid, Kylian Mbappe has offered his opinions on his ideal position. Officially presented as a Los Blancos player before thousands of supporters at the Santiago Bernabeu was the French star.

Last month Real Madrid revealed the free transfer acquisition of the France captain. Mbappe signed a five-year contract with a Spanish capital club and apparently got a €125 million signing-on bonus.

Played across the front for both Paris Saint-Germain (PSG) and France, the 25-year-old said he has no preference for his playing position and is ready to play anywhere the manager chooses upon. According to Madrid Xtra, Kylian Mbappe quoted: 

“Where do I want to play? I can play everywhere in attack. I will adapt to what the coach asks.”

Real Madrid has pursued Kylian Mbappe as a desired acquisition for a significant period of time, having made several efforts to secure his signature in previous instances. During the summer of 2022, it was quite likely that the Frenchman would join the Spanish capital club without any transfer fee. However, he had a sudden change of heart at the last minute.

The multifaceted attacker has accumulated 308 games for PSG, netting 256 goals and contributing 108 assists. Mbappe has represented France in international matches on 84 occasions, scoring 48 goals and contributing 35 assists.
