Kylian Mbappe OFFICIALLY moves to Real Madrid: Mbappe signs five-year deal with UCL champions

The most anticipated transfer saga has finally come to a close as Real Madrid have officially announced the signing of Kylian Mbappe as their newest Galactico.

The longest transfer saga in Football History finally comes to a close as Real Madrid have officially announced their newest Galactico signing of Kylian Mbappe.  

The French International joins Real Madrid on a free transfer after his contract with Paris Saint Germain (PSG) expired in June. Kylian Mbappe joins Los Blancos on a five-year deal that will keep him at the Santiago Bernabeu till June 2029.

Kylian Mbappe joins Real Madrid after a seven year stint with PSG which saw him become the top scorer at the club and win six Ligue 1 titles.

A traditional announcement 

Kylian Mbappe is arguably the best player in the world currently and his transfer to Real Madrid has been one of the hotly awaited moments in World Football.  

The 15-time Champions League winners made sure they don't just announce the French National Team Captain in any ordinary manner and dropped a special announcement.

All the details of the 'Galactico' deal revealed

  • Kylian Mbappe has joined Real Madrid on a five year deal that means he will don the Royal White till June 2029. 
  • Kylian Mbappe will join the French National team for the UEFA Euros 2024 in Germany and will then be presented at the Santiago Bernabeu with a grand presentation on  July, 2024. 
  • According to Fabrzio Romano, Kylian Mbappe will become the highest paid player at Real Madrid. But he is not going to be paid astronomical wages and his salary will be in the same range as that of Vinicius Jr and Jude Bellingham. 
  • The French National team captain however is going to be reportedly paid a staggering 100 Million Euros as a signing on fee. Real Madrid will pay this amount over the course of the next five seasons. 
  • Despite pressure from French President, Emmanuel Macron, Real Madrid will not allow Kylian Mbappe to represent France in the Paris Olympics 2024. Once his Euros concludes, Kylian Mbappe will be presented as a new Real Madrid player and he will join the squad for pre season training.
