Lampard - Ref was wrong to send Kovacic off in final defeat

Chelsea head coach Frank Lampard said he disagreed with the decision of referee Anthony Taylor to give two yellow cards to midfielder Mateo Kovacic as his side lost the FA Cup final 2-1 to Arsenal on Saturday.

Kovacic became the sixth player to be sent off in the final - and they also lost Cesar Azpilicueta, goalscorer Christian Pulisic and Pedro to serious-looking injuries.

Two goals from Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang helped Arsenal to a record 14th win in the competition - but Lampard said he had worked with his players in the build-up to try to nullify the striker's threat.
