England had faced a shock defeat to Greece in the currently ongoing UEFA Nations League when the Greek squad defeated the Englishmen by a score of 2-1 after scoring a late winner during extra time. Former England manager Gareth Southgate had announced his departure from the role back in July and ever since then, the team is being handled by interim manager Lee Carsley. There has been speculation that Lee Carsley could be offered the full time manager position for the England senior team but the interim manager has distanced himself from the job. Lee Carsley Distances Himself From England Role After three wins from four games as England interim coach, Lee Carsley appeared to distance himself from taking on the job full time.A 3-1 victory against Finland in the Nations League on Sunday saw England get back to winning ways after the shock 2-1 home loss to Greece.
