Liverpool, Arsenal, Manchester United eye 16-year-old West Brom striker Jovan Malcolm
Liverpool, Arsenal and Manchester United are reportedly interested in signing West Brom's 16-year-old striker Jovan Malcolm after his amazing performances.
British media reports on Wednesday claimed that three top Premier League clubs are vying to acquire the services of West Bromwich Albion striker Jovan Malcolm. The interested clubs include Arsenal, Manchester United and Liverpool. The 16-year-old has alarmed clubs through his impressive performance in the competition.
The player frequently plays for West Brom's U-18 team and has scored seven goals so far this season. He scored four goals for the Baggies in their recent clash against the Liverpool U-18 team, adding up his goal tally. West Brom will find it difficult to keep the player with many clubs targeting him. It is believed that the club is in no mood to sell the player anytime soon.
West Brom target Premier League return
Slavan Bilic's side are having a great season as they aim to return to Premier League football. They were relegated a couple of seasons back and will hope their form can convince Malcolm to stay and wait for his time to play for the first team. Malcolm’s former teammate Barry moved to La Masia last summer and became the first Englishman to play there.
Liverpool are having a dream Premier League run this season. Their recent success in Europe and their chances of winning the League would be enough to land the teenage striker at Anfield. However, the player will have to compromise on game time.
United are looking to add depth to their attack after the departure of Romelu Lukaku and Alexis Sanchez to Inter Milan in the previous transfer window without proper replacements. Ole Gunnar Solskjaer is also reportedly interested in roping in either Erling Haaland or Memphis Depay.
Arsenal are struggling in the Premier League this season. Unai Emery has been the subject of criticism over his role in the club and is reportedly on the verge of being sacked by the club's management. It remains to be seen as to which club gets their hands on one of the most exciting prospects in England.
