Pep Guardiola's comments on Sadio Mane

Both Manchester City and Liverpool came from behind on Saturday to record wins over Southampton and Aston Villa respectively. Sadio Mane was also booked during Liverpool's game for an apparent dive before he scored the 95th-minute winner for Liverpool. In the post-match interview following City's game, Pep Guardiola pointed out to the fact that Liverpool have scored so many late goals, thanks to Mane's special talent for diving. Guardiola noted that Liverpool have scored so many late winners in the Premier League and sometimes it is achieved by one or two dives here and there.

Liverpool fans have a plan

Sadio Mane has also been accused of going down easily for Liverpool's penalties against Leicester City and Tottenham Hotspur recently too. Nevertheless, Pep Guardiola's comments have rightly angered the Liverpool fanbase, with some already suggesting some sort of retaliation should Mane score against City on Sunday.

In 2012, the then-Everton manager David Moyes made similar comments about Luis Suarez in the build-up to the Merseyside derby, singling out the Uruguayan and accusing him of being a serial diver. He claimed that Suarez' history with diving may turn football fans against the game. Two days later Suarez scored in the derby and celebrated by running to the dug-out and diving right in front David Moyes.

Liverpool fans are now desperate for Sadio Mane to copy the iconic celebration should he find the net in Sunday's clash at Anfield.
