Luis Enrique has been reappointed as the head coach of the Spanish national team
Luis Enrique was brought in as a replacement of Fernando Hierro as Spain’s boss in July 2018 following their bad run of form in the 2018 FIFA World Cup.
Luis Enrique has been reappointed as the head coach of Spain five months after stepping down from the job. Assistant Robert Moreno had taken over Enrique’s place in the interim. President of Royal Spanish Football Federation (RFEF) Luis Rubiales confirmed the news on November 19, 2019. Rubiales added that Luis will be allocated full authority to form his own support team. The 49-year-old manager will lead the Spanish national team in Euro 2020.

The Return of Luis Enrique
Former Celta Vigo and Barcelona manager Luis Enrique left the Spanish-job in June 2019 to look after his then-ill daughter Xana. She later passed away at the age of nine due to osteosarcoma (bone cancer). In the absence of Enrique, Moreno took charge of the Spanish-side. Spain bagged the top spot in Group F of UEFA Euro 2020 qualifiers. The 2010 World Cup-winning team did not lose a single game in the Euro 2020 qualifiers (W6, D2). The first four wins came when Luis Enrique was in charge.
Enrique was brought in as a replacement of Fernando Hierro as Spain’s boss in July 2018 following their bad run in the 2018 FIFA World Cup. Enrique only faced two defeats while managing the Spanish national team (W8). His only losses came against Croatia and England in the UEFA Nations League. "I would step aside," Robert Moreno informed in September 2019 when he was asked about the possibility of Luis Enrique's return in the national team.
