Man United hand lifetime ban for racism against Alexander-Arnold

Man United had to settle for a 1-1 draw against Liverpool on Sunday. A fan who was spotted in the first half, racially abused TAA and has been banned.

Liverpool played out a 1-1 draw at Old Trafford against Manchester United on Sunday, October 20, in the Premier League. However, there was a sour incident in the first half of the game when a Manchester United fan hurled racist abuse at Liverpool right-back Trent Alexander-Arnold. The Man United fan had allegedly directed obscene and racist language at the young England defender during the first half on Sunday. Now, reports in British media have emerged that Man United have indefinitely banned the fan from attending any match at Old Trafford.

Man United vs Liverpool: Home fan slapped with a lifetime ban

Manchester United managed to play out a draw against Premier League table-toppers Liverpool at Old Trafford on Sunday. The Manchester United fan who was accused of hurling racist abuses towards Trent Alexander-Arnold has been issued a lifetime ban. Manchester United club officials launched an investigation into the incident and scoured CCTV footage to trace the fan who was involved in the incident. As per reports in BBC, a Manchester United spokesperson said that racist values on the basis of skin colour are not in tandem with the club values. Manchester United further added at the ban is subject to appeal. The United spokesperson added that Manchester United will continue to take strong action against anyone who they identify has engaged in racist or discriminatory abuse, either online or at our matches.
