Manchester United plot bid to sign Leon Goretzka from Bayern Munich

Manchester United have worked out pretty rapidly to secure three signings ahead of the 2023-24 season. Mason Mount was the first player to join from Chelsea and later Andre Onana and recently Rasmus Hojlund have joined the Red Devils. Erik ten Hag must be satisfied with the business his club has done but the club will still be looking for potential players who could be able to boost their strength.

Manchester United are eyeing a deal for Bayern Munich midfielder Leo Goretzka

As per various reports, Manchester United are looking at a deal for Bayern Munich midfielder Leon Goretzka. The likes of Fred and Donny van de Beek might leave the club this summer and a midfielder would be of top priority for the Dutch manager.
Fiorentina midfielder Sofyan Amrabat has also reportedly been a target for the Premier League outfit who would be looking to bridge the gaps with city rivals Manchester City.

Thomas Tuchel has mainly used Joshua Kimmich and Konrad Laimer in the middle of the pitch in the pre-season and going by the assumption these pair will also be the preferred starter when the season starts.

The Red Devils could utilise this situation to poach the player from Bayern who still has three more years in his current contract.
United recently brought in Marcel Sabitzer on loan from the Bundesliga champions last season but his persistent injury issues hampered his progress in the Premier League and he went to return to his parent club.

A few midfielder could leave Manchester United this summer

United are pretty well stocked in the midfield department but the departure of Fred and Donny would make them light and Goretzka's arrival would be a massive boost for them. Goretzka doesn't seem to be interested in leaving the German capital but if the present situation persists he might change his mind in the latter part of the transfer window.
