Cristiano Ronaldo’s record of 84 goals in 196 matches in the Premier League was beaten by Leicester City’s Jamie Vardy. He completed the achievement in the Premier League game against Newcastle on Sunday by scoring a brace. This also helped take his 2019-2020 season tally to five goals in seven matches. Vardy now has 85 Premier League goals to his name, in 183 appearances across six seasons including the ongoing 2019-20 season. Ronaldo made this record between 2003-2009 when he played for the Red Devils.
