It is an ideal time to be a Real Madrid fan. Following the 15th Champions League Triumph, the club has finally succeeded in bringing on-board the long-time target Kylian Mbappe. Then, stalwart Luka Modric signed an extension and now another long-time player of the club has sworn his allegiance for at least one more season.
Real Madrid Extends Contract Of Lucas Vazquez
Lucas Vazquez, who often goes under the radar has been one of the unsung heroes of the club in the last decade. The player has contributed significantly whenever needed from the right-wing and he will continue to do so at least till June 30, 2025.
Real Madrid released an official notification, announcing the extension of Vazquez with the club.
"Real Madrid C. F. and Lucas Vázquez have agreed an extension to the player's contract, tying him to the club until 30 June 2025.
Lucas Vázquez arrived at Real Madrid in 2007, at 16 years of age, playing at youth level from the U-17s right through to Castilla in 2014. In his nine seasons with the first team, he's been part of one of the most successful periods in our club's history winning 21 titles: 5 Champions Leagues, 4 Club World Cups, 3 European Super Cups, 4 LA Liga titles, 1 Copa del Rey and 4 Spanish Super Cups.
Lucas Vázquez has made 349 first-team appearances, scoring 36 goals, and he is also a full Spain international, with nine caps to his name."
Lucas Vazquez A Bankable Name For Real Madrid
Lucas Vazquez has been an impact substitution for the club for the longest time and he will apparently do the same in his remaining period. As the Los Blancos' attack has been further solidified with the arrival of Kylian Mbappe, the football fraternity could witness Vazquez assisting the Frenchman in the upcoming La Liga season and Champions League. Moreover, if the situation propels where Real Madrid would have to win a penalty shootout in order to advance to the next stage then Lucas Vazquez would appear as a bankable name to send it home from the slot.
