Real Madrid are going through a major injury crisis after veteran defender and right back Dani Carvajal picked up a triple rupture in his knee and is out for atleast a year. To make matters worse the Los Blancos are already missing the likes of Brahim Diaz, David Alaba, Dani Ceballos among others with long term injuries.
But there's no respite at the offices of Valdebebas as the defending La Liga and Champions League winners have confirmed another injury to their star defender.
Real Madrid's injury crisis deepens
Real Madrid manager Carlo Ancelotti has a big headache as the club has confirmed star defender Eder Militao has been diagnosed with muscle injury in his left leg and will be out of action for some time.
“Following tests carried out on our player Eder Militão by the Real Madrid Medical Services, he has been diagnosed with a muscle injury in the quadriceps of his left leg. Pending evolution,” Real Madrid revealed in their official statement.
Eder Militao had pulled out off Brazil's squad for their upcoming fixtures during the international break due to his injury.
The injury to Eder Militao has further deepened defensive woes for the reigning Champions League and La Liga winners as they will be without three of their main defender. They will have to make shift with the likes of Aurelien Tchouameni and Lucas Vasquez in defence.
When will Eder Militao return?
Real Madrid have not confirmed the amount of time Eder Militao will be injured but in some positive news for Blancos fans, the Brazilian centre back isn't expected to face a lengthy absence.
According to reports, Eder Militao's injury will sideline him for 10 days and he should be back fit for the Blancos in their next La Liga fixture against Celta Vigo on 19th October.
