Spurs have been struggling in this season of Premier League as they are currently placed on the 14th position with just 14 points. Tottenham have registered three wins, five draws and four defeats so far in their opening 12 games of Premier League. They played their last match against Sheffield United FC and were held for a 1-1 draw. It seems that the North London Giants are late to rope in Nagelsmann as reports suggest that their approach is almost one year late.
According to a leading publication, the 32-year-old Nagelsmann left Hoffenheim this summer to join RB Leipzig and he is not interested to leave the club anytime soon. He was open for a move to any club during his last season with Hoffenheim but he stayed in Germany itself. Leipzig are currently placed on the second position in the Bundesliga table. They have registered six wins and three draws in 11 games.
Mourinho to Tottenham Hotspur
According to Sky Sports, former Manchester United manager Jose Mourinho is the front runner for the Spurs manager position. Jose Mourinho is reportedly in talks with Spurs chairman Daniel Levy and the former Manchester United and Chelsea boss feels confident that the two sides will reach an agreement. Reports also state that some officials at the club are increasingly confident that Mourinho could be unveiled at a press conference on Thursday if negotiations go well.
