Tottenham Hotspur literally blew Red Star out of the park with a trashing 5-0 win in North London where the visitors were second-best in every department. Mauricio Pochettino got the expected reaction from his side after yet another lethargic performance vs Watford on Saturday in the Premier League. This should come as a relief to the manager and the home fans alike.

Pochettino did accept the fact that this season, his side weren't performing as he hoped they would, which rightly put his job in danger. But the Argentine was not looking for excuses, rather aiming to fight to get his side back to their best. Tuesday night's performance speaks for itself. Tottenham were looking energetic with each of their attacking moves flowing effortlessly. Their captain Harry Kane netted the first and the fifth goal in a five-star performance. A first-half brace from Heung-Min Son and a lively performance by Erik Lamela all added up on the UCL night. Spurs also kept a well-deserved clean sheet where they managed to keep the Serbian side quiet for the entirety of the game. On the whole, it was a performance that would give confidence to the manager and the squad, which might just be the turning point for Tottenham this season.
