Christopher Nkunku opened the scoring for Chelsea in the 35th minute, only for Luke Bolton to equalize for Wrexham in the 58th minute. Lesley Ugochukwu put Chelsea back in front in the 82nd minute, but Jack Marriott stepped up for Wrexham with a crucial goal in the 71st minute to ensure a share of the spoils. Chelsea dominated possession with 75%, showcasing their slick passing game, while Wrexham showed resilience with swift counter-attacks. The match was a true showcase of skill and determination from both sides.

A nasty altercation breaks out between James McClean and Levi Colwill during Chelsea's friendly match against Wrexham

Early on on Thursday's friendly encounter between Chelsea and Wrexham, Levi Colwill and James McClean set up a furious dispute. At Levi's Stadium in Santa Clara, California, the teams tied 2-2.

In the third minute, a skirmish involving both sides broke out with Colwill and McClean at the middle of the strife. Reacting angrily to a late challenge from the Wrexham player, the Chelsea defender confronted McClean and seized his collar, causing mayhem on the pitch.

While other players, including Christopher Nkunku, hurried in to drag McClean away, the referee intervened trying to separate the two. As hostilities grew, even Wrexham's manager, Phil Parkinson, became involved.

Colwill and McClean were split finally, and the game went on. Before the half, Nkunku scored the first goal following the fight. Jack Marriott gave Wrexham the lead after Luke Bolton equalised for them. Lesley Ugochukwu, however, got Chelsea a late equaliser.

Chelsea will proceed with their pre-season tour in the United States on Saturday, engaging in a match against Celtic. In contrast, Wrexham will confront the Vancouver Whitecaps on Sunday.
