Manchester City will be hosted by Brighton & Hove Albion at the American Express Stadium on November 9, 2024, in what looks to be a spectacular Premier League game. City, anxious to stop their three-match losing run, has a strong record against Brighton having won 12 of their past 15 games. While City needs a victory to keep pressure on league leaders Liverpool, Brighton, now ranked seventh in the league, will want to use their home advantage. Given both sides want to show off their offensive ability, expect a fast-paced confrontation.

Pep Guardiola has made a huge statement about Manchester City’s recent struggles

Managing Manchester City, Pep Guardiola has addressed the team's recent poor performance, noting that the club knows the elements behind their problems. Falling to Tottenham Hotspur in the EFL Cup, Bournemouth in the Premier League, and Sporting CP in the UEFA Champions League, the reigning champions have seen three successive defeats for the first time since April 2018.

During a recent news conference, Guardiola spoke about Manchester City's present performance and offered his analysis, saying, via SuperSport:

“We know the reason why we struggle but we are looking forward to this game and after the international break, and after that a few players will be back and recovered. All the little problems we have with players will be solved. I hope.”

Ahead of Manchester City's Saturday, November 9 Premier League game against Brighton & Hove Albion, Guardiola made these remarks.

The manager said that the team's current problems might have been caused in part by the absence of important players Particularly Rodri's injury has affected the defensive stability of the midfield; Kevin De Bruyne's absence has been felt in terms of inventiveness moving forward. De Bruyne is now back in training, however, and may make his starting lineup comeback for this weekend's game.

With only two points behind league leaders Liverpool, Manchester City now ranks second in the Premier League having scored 23 points from their first ten games. Conversely, Brighton is in ninth position having scored 16 points from 10 games.

Manchester City, the reigning champions, will be keen to resume successful ways. A setback against Brighton might undermine their championship aspirations even more and complicate their chances of closing the difference to Liverpool at the top of the league but the club under Guardiola is known for its comeback in recent years.
