Will Erling Haaland leave Manchester City ahead of the 2024/25 season?

An update on the future of Manchester City striker Erling Haaland has been released by his agency in light of speculations of a possible exit. A vital member of the club, the 23-year-old Norwegian sensation won a continental treble in his first season (2022-23) under Pep Guardiola.

With 90 goals and 15 assists in only 98 games since joining Manchester City, Haaland has cemented his place among the best attackers in the world. Rafaela Pimenta, his agent, has now reacted to the rumours, saying that he has no intention of leaving Manchester City. As reported by City Xtra, she said:

"One thing is certain today: Erling Haaland feels at home at Manchester City. He is 1000 percent committed to the Man City project and is already looking forward to the new season with the club."

Many rumours indicate that Erling Haaland has been linked in recent times to teams like Real Madrid; however, the Spanish giants might not need further attacking depth. Even though club icon Karim Benzema left the team last summer, Real Madrid has since signed stars like Kylian Mbappe and young gun Endrick, who seems ready to lead their attack at the Santiago Bernabeu.

Furthermore, considering that Haaland's Manchester City contract expires in 2027, acquiring him would be an expensive undertaking for Los Blancos. It seems doubtful that they would go for the 23-year-old forward, who scored 38 goals and provided six assists in 45 games the previous campaign. With Norway not qualifying for the UEFA Euro 2024, Haaland will enjoy his summer from home and be seen in action for City during the pre-season before continuing to embark on the Premier League and UCL in 2024/25.
