The former KKR and India player succeeds Rahul Dravid after India scripted history at the Kensington Oval in Barbados June 29, 2024 by winning the World Cup. The team which was overseen by Rahul Dravid's keen and experienced eyes will now be headed by none other than Gautam Gambhir. The winner of the 2007 T20 World Cup and the winner of the 2011 ODI World Cup, Gambhir will have a lot to contribute to Indian cricket.

As the glorious chapter of Rahul Dravid's coaching tenure comes to an end, Gautam Gambhir has been appointed as the new coach of the Indian cricket team.
