New Delhi: Gautam Gambhir has now been appointed as the Head Coach of Team India. The former KKR and India player succeeds Rahul Dravid after India scripted history at the Kensington Oval in Barbados June 29, 2024 by winning the World Cup. The team which was overseen by Rahul Dravid's keen and experienced eyes will now be headed by none other than Gautam Gambhir. The winner of the 2007 T20 World Cup and the winner of the 2011 ODI World Cup, Gambhir will have a lot to contribute to Indian cricket.

Gautam Gambhir's First Message To Indian Cricket Team Fans

This is a new era and a new dawn for Indian Cricket. As the glorious chapter of Rahul Dravid's coaching tenure comes to an end, Gautam Gambhir has been appointed as the new coach of the Indian cricket team. Gambhir is someone who always wears his heart on his sleeves and has some extraordinary passion for the game. Sometimes it might bother the opposition camp, but this is how the former KKR Skipper and India cricketer has played and has contributed to glorious moments, be it his 75 in the finals of the 2007 T20 World Cup or be it his gritty 97 in the 2011 ODI World Cup finals.

Gautam Gambhir, as good as a cricketer he was in his playing days has turned up to be an even better mentor. India recently won the T20 World Cup and bid farewell to Rahul Dravid in style. It is safe to say that Rahul Dravid has left Indian cricket in a better place and now it will be Gambhir's responsibility to take the team forward. The former KKR and LSG mentor has a proven track record of working behind the scene and amplifying the team's performance. Gambhir led LSG to the eliminators in 2022 and 2023 and in 2024 he helped KKR become the champions of the league.
