India gets its first-ever floating basketball court in Mumbai
The National Basketball Association (NBA) brought to India the first-ever Floating Basketball Court in the Arabian Sea near Bandra Worli Sealink on Wednesday.
The National Basketball Association has brought the first-ever floating basketball court to India. This was installed in the Arabian Sea near the Bandra-Worli Sealink on Wednesday. Accompanied by the NBA legend Jason Williams, some sports enthusiasts were seen enjoying the floating court. Jason Williams also gave tips to the aspiring Indian youngsters and said that they need to work hard as kids from all over the world are getting better at the game.
Tips from the NBA legend Jason Williams
The National Basketball Association legend, Jason Williams speaking to ANI said, “You just got to work hard, and you have to dedicate all your time to it. Kids from all over the world are getting better at basketball every day and India is maybe a couple of steps behind everyone else but it does not mean they cannot catch up”. NBA India also shared some stills from the first-ever floating court near the Bandra Worli Sealink. The pictures showed the sportspersons playing the game.
India’s first NBA Game
India is all set to host its first NBA game in Mumbai on October 4 and 5. The game will take place in the SVP Stadium at Dome, NSCI, in Mumbai. While the NBA fans in India gear up to witness the live match, the team Sacramento Kings are getting a grand entry into the country via Air-Drake. A few days ago, on Saturday, The Gateway of India was lit colourfully in hues of red, green and blue which are the colours of the NBA logo. The special decoration was to build up anticipation for the upcoming game.
