Jimmy Neesham upset over New Zealand loss to Eng in Rugby World Cup
Jimmy Neesham tweeted about New Zealand's loss and called it a 'painful loss.' Earlier, New Zealand had lost to England in the 2019 ICC Cricket World Cup final
England crushed New Zealand's record of not losing a World Cup game in 12 years, as they beat the All Blacks 19-7 to reach the finals of the Rugby World Cup 2019. New Zealand cricketer Jimmy Neesham tweeted about the match that caused New Zealand's exit from the World Cup and called it a 'painful loss.' Earlier this year, New Zealand had lost the ICC Cricket World Cup final to England by a petty margin of boundaries as the match tied and went into super over, which was also tied subsequently. Neesham who was a part of New Zealand's World Cup squad had scored 19 runs and picked three wickets in the final.
New Zealand all-rounder Jimmy Neesham also tweeted a screenshot on Saturday, October 26, post All Blacks' loss to England in the Rugby semi-final. The screenshot was of Twitter which showed that Neesham had muted the words, 'England' and 'world cup final' and also '2019' to prevent him from coming across any tweet related to the same. He captioned the screenshot as 'I think that just about covers it' signifying the traumatic loss in the World Cup final against England was similar to All Blacks' loss to the English team in the Rugby World Cup semi-final.
Neesham's Tweets:
England Crush New Zealand 19-7
Despite having won 15 of the last 16 games between the two nations, New Zealand were stormed out of their way to the World Cup final by England in Yokohama today. Having won two World Cup titles already, their bid for the third one was put down by half time itself when England took a fierce lead of 10-0. For England, Maro Itoje put up a class-apart performance which bagged him the player of the match award, however, Tom Curry and Sam Underhill also made significant contributions to England's triumph. England will face either South Africa or Wales, who meet in the other semi-final on Sunday, in the finals.
