Ken Shamrock is one of the best as well as the strongest wrestlers to have laced a pair of shoes in World Wrestling Entertainment (WWE), which was formerly known as World Wrestling Federation (WWF). During his association with the Vince McMahon owned company, Shamrock has feuded with some of the iconic superstars including the likes of The Undertaker, Kane, Stone Cold Steve Austin, etc. from 1997 to 1999. 'The World's Most Dangerous Man' won the WWF Intercontinental Championship and was also crowned the King of the Ring in 1998. However, it was only after Shamrock moved to Impact Wrestling that he won the NWA World Heavyweight Championship. It was the Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) that helped Shamrock in earning fame and fortunes. During his prime, he was arguably the best UFC Champion of all time. 'The World's Most Dangerous Man' is also a UFC Hall of Famer.  After Shamrock had expressed his desire to share the ring with Brock Lesnar, he also remembered The Rock.

Ken Shamrock on that chair shot from The Rock

Both Ken Shamrock and The Rock were two of the finest and the most entertaining stars during the Attitude Era. In a recent interview, Shamrock talked about Rock's chair shot to the face where the UFC Hall Of Famer was at the receiving end during an episode of Raw in 1998. Recollecting the incident, Ken Shamrock said that he had a discussion with 'The Brahma Bull' backstage that he should be hit on the face if the chair shot does take place. A stunned Rock said that he was not going to do so but then, The World's Most Dangerous Man' assured him that he would take care of the rest and encouraged Rock to hit him on the face. However, 'The Great One' was still not convinced and both superstars had a lot of argument over the same. Eventually, Ken Shamrock threatened Rock that he would refuse to sell the move if he did not listen to him. The Rock obliged to Shamrock and the move was sold perfectly.

Was Ken Shamrock injured by the chair shot?

In an interview with Wrestling Inc, Ken Shamrock revealed the exact reason behind him not suffering a concussion or an injury.

"No, it was a lot easier for me to take that to the forehead," Shamrock said. "Because it didn't hit me directly in the face. So, when he swung it, all I did was tip my chin down and took it right in the forehead. And if you know anything about how your body is, your forehead is the thickest bone in your head. So, instead of taking it to the top of the head or anywhere else, that was the place I knew, when I took it, that I wouldn't get a concussion."

"And so, when he swung it, because I didn't want to take something... that I would embarrass myself... [If] somebody eases up on it. And I knew by hitting me in the forehead, I knew he could swing it and I would be OK. And so when he hit me with the chair... whack! And I literally... as I go to go back, I was like, 'Dude, I didn't... I hardly even felt it.' I mean, that's no lie, I'm not lying. God as my witness, he swung that and he 'hitted' me with it, and I literally went, 'Well, that was a lot better than I thought.' As I was rolling backwards and I hit the ground, and I was like, 'Thank God I'm alive.'', Shamrock added.
