Mayank Agarwal's 215: Indian cricketers react to opener's masterclass

The first wicket partnership between Rohit Sharma and Agarwal was worth 317 runs. Even after Rohit was out, India managed to get past 500 before Virat Kohli chose to declare the innings. Agarwal was the top-scorer with his 215, while Rohit followed with his second-highest Test score of 176. After South Africa came out to bat, they were placed in a tough situation especially by spinner Ravichandran Ashwin. Ashwin has only conceded 9 runs in eight overs and picked up the important wickets of Aiden Markram and Theunis de Bruyn. Play with begin on Friday with South Africa at 39-3.
