'Stop crying': DDP Taunts Israel Adesanya Following His Emotional Breakdown at UFC 305 Presser
Tensions between UFC Middleweight Champion Dricus du Plessis and Israel Adesanya spiraled out at the UFC 305 presser. The two will fight at UFC 305.

After staying away from the UFC's Octagon for almost an year, Israel Adesanya is set for a blockbuster return at the upcoming Pay-Per-View show, UFC 305. Adesanya will return to gain what he once held i.e., the Middleweight Champion and hence in the bid to reclaim the title he will go one on one against the current champion Dricus du Plessis. Ahead of the mega fight, the two fighters came beside each other during the pre-event press conference often welcomes the interaction between the fighters, a heated back-and-forth between the two ensued.
Israel Adesanya Went Through an Emotional Rollercoaster
Tensions between Israel Adesanya and Dricus Du Plessis escalated to a whole new level when Adesanya got hurt by Du Plessis' remark on his family as he burst out in tears and warned the South African that he will face consequences on Saturday. Ahead of their title bout, the Middleweight Champion Du Plessis remained pretty confident of his chances to dismantle Adesanya in the main event.
When Adesanya was asked about his plans in and after the fight, Du Plessis made a cheap remark at Adesanya's lifestyle and heritage.
“On Tuesday I’m going back to Nigeria, I think Friday I’m going to South Africa and then the next week I’m going back to New Zealand. I am a child of the Earth and when I take his belt, I’m taking it everywhere with me,” Adesanya boasted about winning the main event.
"This invigorated Adesanya to a whole new level as he teared up and said, “What the f*** are you talking about? Shut the f*** up….He touched a subject there because I do this for my family. I do this for the people I love and how I will fight for you forever,” said Adesanya in tears.

Dricus du Plessis Mocks Israel Adesanya
But Du Plessis was having none of it and dropped in the remark, “Are you taking the servants with you when you’re going back?” The matter went to social media as well, where Dricus du Plessis further took a swipe at his UFC 305 rival.
As soon as the UFC 305 presser wrapped up, Du Plessis wasted no time in mocking his rival on social media.
On X, he wrote: "Come on guys stop crying at the press conferences it’s not that serious," with a laughing face emoji.
