Conor Anthony McGregor- The name that defines the protagonist of Mankind. The Irish MMA fighter doesn't need an introduction but if we have to follow his career and how he has achieved the pinnacle of success, we must go through his accomplishments. Known professionally for his counter-striking skills, striking precision, and knockout power the majority of Conor’s victories in mixed martial arts have come by the way of knockout and technical knockout by punches. Well on a commercial level, Conor is the biggest pay-per-view in mixed martial arts history as he headlined the five highest-selling UFC PPV Events. 

Conor McGregor- The Brand

His bout with Khabib Nurmagomedov at UFC 229 drew 2.4 million PPV buys, the most ever for an MMA Event. Conor McGregor lost his debut match against Floyd Mayweather Jr. and drew over 5.3 million buys across the United States and the United Kingdom. With his mesmerizing personality, blunt image, and promising career, he is credited for popularizing MMA and the UFC around the globe. Conor McGregor was ranked as the World’s highest-paid athlete by Forbes 2021 earning a reported $180 million and was on the 4th position with $99 by Forbes in the year 2018.

Born in Dublin Ireland, He attended the Irish language school and he turned out to be a football fan in his teenage. When his family moved to Lucan, Dublin, he met future UFC fighter Tom Egan and started training together. While on the way to becoming a professional UFC fighter, Bruce Lee and Muhammad Ali used to be his idols.

Ultimate Fighting Championship Career (2013–present)

Conor McGregor was signed by UFC in Feb 2013 for a multi-fight contract and he became the second fighter from Ireland to compete for the company following team member Tom Egan. On 6th April 2013, Conor made his UFC debut against Marcus Brimage and won the fight with knockout and earned the ‘knockout of the night award’.

Mixed Martial Arts Fighting Style 

Well mostly known for his counter-strike and prefers to fight standing up, Conor is known for his striking power and knockout style. Conor is left-handed and primarily fights out of the Southpaw instance but he is very much used to an orthodox stance. His signature style reveals his personality of engaging in trash talk with his opponents from which he gained a massive fan base.

After Muhammad Ali’s Demise in 2016 Conor said that no one has ever and will ever come close to Ali’s greatness. He seemed very respectful and polite to his opponent in his fight against Donald Cerrone and Dustin Poirier.

Investment in Business ventures 

McGregor has endorsed a deal with Reebok, Bud Light, and Monster Energy from which he made a profit of $7 million in 2017. Also, he signed a deal with Burger King in 2018 and earned huge profits.

Acting 

In 2022 he acted in the remake of the 1989 Film Road House where he worked with actor Jake Gyllenhall. 

Personal Life and Family 

Conor has two sisters and he has been in relation and lives with his partner Dee Devlin since 2008 from which he has 4 kids. He often trains with fellow UFC Fighter Gunnar Nelson. On his belief, he once stated in an interview that he does not adhere to any pre-fight rituals. He thinks that this creates a sense of fear in the fighter.

Conor Mcgregor is a Football fan and follows Celtic and Manchester United and also supports Paris-Saint German.
