NBA: LeBron James now ranks 15th on the all-time steals list

Derek Harper and Allen Iverson are ranked above King James at No 14 and No 15 respectively on the list of career steals. James is 12 steals behind Harper, who has 1957 steals, and 38 steals behind Iverson, who has 1983. James can surpass both players before the All-Star break. James will then be facing Mookie Blaylock, who has 2075 steals and Karl Malone, who has 2085 steals. Oklahoma City Thunder guard Chris Paul, who has 2,131 steals in his NBA career, is the only active player who ranks above James. John Stockton tops the list with 3265 total steals.

James has averaged at 121 steals per season ever since he began his NBA career. If James maintains his average number of 121 steals, he would finish the NBA 2019-20 season with a total of 2058 steals. He would then be ranked 13th, below Blaylock. If he continues with his average, James will be on the top 10 list by the time NBA 2020-21 comes to an end. His annual average would give him an approximate total of 2179 steals. With that number, James would rank above Hakeem Olajuwon, who has 2162 steals, on the all-time steals list, and below Clyde Drexler, who has 2207 steals.
