In a post-match interview, Washington said that he was just concentrating on scoring good shots and was not aware of his record till he was told after the game. Washington averaged 18.3 points, 7.2 rebounds, 1.6 assists and 1.4 blocks in his last 18 games. Though Washington suffered from a sprained ankle and missed the first two NCAA Tournament games for Kentucky Bulls, he scored 16 points off the bench during Kentucky's 62-58 Sweet 16 triumph over Houston. In April, Washington signed with Roc Nation Sports.
