'Felt That Frustration': Abhinav Bindra Pens Heartfelt Note After CAS Defers Vinesh Phogat's Verdict
The Court of Arbitration for Sport (CAS) has delayed the verdict on Vinesh Phogat's joint silver medal plea again. The decision will now come out on August 16.
Vinesh Phogat CAS Verdict: The Indian wrestler along with the entire country will have to wait more. The Court of Arbitration for Sport (CAS) has deferred Phogat's case till August 16. Phogat was assured of the silver medal as she had qualified for the finals of 50kg freestyle wrestling finals, but she weighed 100 grams more than the stipulated mark.
The verdict of Vinesh's plea which is now being heard by the CAS has been deferred by three more days. Initially the verdict was to come out on 10th August, it was later pushed to 13th August and now, as the recent developments have it, the verdict of Phogat's plea will come out on August 16, 2024.
