Hockey India Captain Harmanpreet Singh Shares an Emotional Embrace with His Parents in Punjab
Hockey India captain Harmanpreet Singh has returned to his homeland in Punjab and has re-united with his parents, who shared a warm embrace.
After successfully securing the bronze medal for India, the Hockey side returned to the country and the fans grandly celebrated their arrival. The players are now making their way back home and team captain Harmanpreet Singh has returned to his homeland of Punjab, India. Upon his arrival, an emotional moment ensued as the captain re-united with his parents after being nearly a month away from them in Paris, France.

India Captain Harmanpreet Singh Hugs It Out With His Parents Upon His Arrival in Punjab, Emotional Moment Ensues
After leading Team India to a successful bronze-winning campaign, Hockey skipper Harmanpreet Singh returned home to reunite with his parents. In a video shared by Hockey India on 'X', Formerly Twitter, Harmanpreet went back home to Punjab, and he was seen hugging his father and mother on his return. The captain looked emotional as he hugged it out with his parents on his return after winning a medal in the Paris Games
The Hockey India skipper and his team came back to loud cheers alongside dhol beats when they arrived at the IGI Airport in Delhi. However, the entire team did not return as some of the players stayed back with goalkeeper PR Sreejesh for the Olympic closing ceremony, where the veteran was the co-flag-bearer alongside markswoman Manu Bhaker. The goalkeeper played his final match in Paris as he retired after winning the bronze medal.

Harmanpreet Singh was one of the most dominant players as he netted ten goals in eight matches, making him the lead scorer of the tournament.
Under coach Craig Fulton, Team India Hockey made history after they secured back-to-back medals for the first time in 52 years. The last time it happened was at the Munich Games in 1972. Harmanpreet's brace and PR Sreejesh's spectacular saves allowed the Men in Blue to seal the bronze medal for India despite being 0-1 in the first quarter.
