Lakshya Sen's first reaction after Paris Olympics exit

Lakshya Sen's journey in Paris started on a high note, with a commanding win over Guatemala's Kevin Cordon in straight games. His strong performance raised hopes of a medal, but his campaign ended in the semifinals of men's singles against the formidable Viktor Axelsen of Denmark.

Lakshya Sen has now issued his first reaction after his Paris Olympics 2024 loss.

"Hi everyone! My journey at the Paris 2024 Olympics has been both an honor and a heartbreak. I gave my all, fought with every ounce of strength, but fell just short of the podium. I am very grateful to all the supporters for their unwavering support," Lakshya said in an emotional statement.

Prakash Padukone, a former world champion and a pivotal figure in Indian badminton, recently urged players to take responsibility after the badminton team failed to win even a single medal at the Paris Olympics 2024. Padukone said that the situation has completely changed for players as they get everything they need to perform at the top-level and not winning a medal is no longer expected.

“All the support and finances that were needed to perform at the top level were given to the Indian players. It’s not like earlier times where our players lacked facilities and funds. So it’s high time our players step-up and win as expected. It's high time players take responsibility. The Govt and Federations are doing enough,” Padukone said.
