Paris Olympics 2024: Neeraj Chopra had the entire nation's eyeballs fixated on him just as he started warming up before the men's javelin throw final. Neeraj undoubtedly was India's last gold medal hope but things did not go right for him when it mattered the most. In his six attempts, Chopra had only one legal throw (89.34m) and that was pretty good enough to land him a silver. Chopra has now become the first and only track and field athlete to win successive Olympic medals.

The factor that kept Chopra at a distance from his second Olympic Gold was the infamous 90m mark that he has tried to breach time and again. 'It's not about the medal but the distance, I think I have a lot more to show - I don't have a problem with the silver medal & 89.45m is a good throw but until I am satisfied with my distance, I can't be happy - want to fly the country's flag high, whenever the flag in my hand, I feel proud.
