India has secured a record 21 quota places in shooting for the upcoming Paris Olympics, marking a historic achievement in its Olympic journey. This impressive feat includes a perfect 16 out of 16 quotas in the eight individual rifle and pistol events. Additionally, Indian shooters earned five more quotas across four individual shotgun events.
Indian shooters have displayed remarkable performances over the last four years, setting the stage for a strong showing at the Paris Olympics 2024. The standout achievements were at the Asian Games 2023, where India secured a record 22 medals, including seven golds, nine silvers, and six bronzes, second only to China.
