‘Inspiration to the Youth’: PM Modi Interacts With the Indian Olympic Contingent at 2024 Paris Games

On the occasion of India's 77th Independence Day, Prime Minister Narendra Modi met with the Indian contingent who took part in the 2024 Summer Games in Paris, France. Big names like PR Sreejesh, Harmanpreet Singh, Manu Bhaker, Sarabjt Singh, and more were present at the PM's official residence to interact with him. The Indian Prime Minister was seen interacting with some athletes as well.

PM Modi meets the Indian Olympians in a fun and insightful interaction at 7, LKM

Prime Minister of India, Narendra Modi, was seen interacting with the Indian Olympic Contingent who took part at the 2024 Summer Games in Paris at his official residence 7, Lok Kalyan Marg in Delhi. The Indian Prime Minister addressed all of them as he congratulated them and expressed that welcoming them at his residence was a moment of pride for him. He also said that all the participants are an ‘Inspiration to the Youth’. The video of their interaction was posted on the Indian Prime Minister's ‘X’ account.

“The Indian contingent displayed their exceptional performances at the Paris Olympics. Each athlete delivered their best. The entire nation is proud of their achievements,” PM Modi wrote on ‘X’, Formerly Twitter.

During his address, PM Modi said, “... It is an honour to have you all here... PR Sreejesh proved why he is known as 'The Wall'. Everyone who won a medal and even those who lost by a point, reiterated that this saga will not stop unless they win a Gold.”

Veteran goalkeeper PR Sreejesh, Aman Sehrawat and Lakshya Sen were among the stars who interacted with the Prime Minister as they revealed their experience in the French Capital. While wrestler Sehrawat spoke on making history at the Summer Games, shuttler Lakshya Sen spoke on how the team followed strict discipline and weren't allowed to use their mobile phones.

The athletes enjoyed a fun-filled interaction with some hearty exchange and inspirational talk from the Indian Prime Minister.
